150CVAn interesting group of covers beginning with three from the Confederacy. One is addressed to Gen R E Lees command (11), one is a missive from Charleston S.C. (#2) and the last is postmarked Charleston, S. C., MAR 24 1861 with a #26 being used after the ‘Admitted to the Confederacy’ date of February 4, 1861. Three stampless covers from Great Britain with auxiliary markings, three stamped envelopes from the 1850-60 era and other early covers. Six advertising covers, one fair cover and five air mail covers round out this lot. Interesting air mail covers: Landed in Sea, First Flight and misspelled Areoplane (sic) Flights on address side.
