142CVUnited States original mainly political accumulation from the 1850s to 1870. Nearly 400 covers having dozens and dozens of free frankings. Many have invaluable background information on a small piece of paper about the person who sent it. There are two from Alexander Stephens who became the Vice-President of the Confederacy. Condition varies; so inspection required as several items have severe tears, holes, or partial deterioration either from age or storage. A must for the political collector or dealer.Cat. 143FDCAccumulation of roughly owner’s count of 7,000 unaddressed FDCs in three banker’s boxes inside three large cartons. Approximately 2/3 have single stamps, and 1/3 have double or blocks of stamps. Some of the cachet makers are Art Craft, Art Master, Colorano, Fleetwood, and House of Farnan from the 1950s to 1990s. Cachets are from The Manned Spaceflight Cover Society having printed address to Houston. Heavy duplication. There are some stamp variations. Highlights involve three Private Local Posts having stamps (Hale’s and Blood’s), a Philadelphia carrier handstamp, a unusual “1” in circle with one cent #63 on legal size cover, two 20 cents rate (for weight), and two stampless Express Mail from the early 1830s. 147O*CVThree cartons of mainly United States Space covers from 1965 to 1990. Hundreds and hundreds in nine binders and a medium pizza size box containing Gemini, Apollo, and Space Shuttle. Spotted several Gemini astronaut autographed covers, a few of which appear to be autopen. Includes Recovery Ships and Tracking Stations having several worldwide. Also entails a small selection of naval covers, a few presidential autograph covers in a medium pizza size box from around 1934 to the 1960s as well as miscellaneous United Nations mint stamps, FDCs, and postal stationery from the 1970s to 1980s which were purchased as new issues.Cat.
