COLLECTIONS AND ACCUMULATIONS — British
LotConditionDescriptionValue/Bidding
1224*oA mixed group with many better items. Strong Victorian period, especially Barbados. Also worthwhile for Egypt and a little Indian States. Sprinkled throughout are overprint varieties, sideways watermarks, etc.Cat. Value: S.B. 2,000.00
Price Realized: $1,300.00
1225*oA predominately mint stock of Commonwealth in five small counterbooks. Each stamp or set is identified with catalog value so much of the work is done. Loaded with good material with most of the items from George VI or Elizabeth II. About half is hinged or used, the rest is NH. Some of the better we spotted includes Ascension 33-36 (NH), Canada blocks of four MR1-MR2 (NH), Bahamas 100-113 (LH), Cayman Islands 135-148 (NH), and Tristan 14-27 (NH). Set up for easy processing, just pick your percentage and start selling.Cat. Value: $9,500.00
Price Realized: $1,900.00
1226*oBritish colonies material from all eras worked up on “102” size cards and dealer salespages. Includes full sets, part sets, and singles comprising a collector’s duplicates and a few triplicates. There is little minimum value material in the red box, and a surprising amount of better material throughout the three salesbooks. However, the owner’s catalog value needs some discounting for a few fiscal cancels and a few possible forgeries. That said, there is much saleable material.Cat. Value: 2007 cat. 11,400.00
Price Realized: $1,600.00
1227*oSeveral thousand mounted on homemade pages and housed in twenty-one 3 ring binders. On a quick perusal it looks to be mainly used short sets, but on closer inspection many moderate values are apparent along with a good amount of mint sets and souvenir sheets. A great lot for someone to fill the pesky lower valued holes and to get worthwhile better.Cat. Value: S.B. 1,400.00
Price Realized: $2,300.00

This features a number of higher catalog Queen Victoria issues, and Scott 224 and 140. The second, and most interesting, part is an album with an odd mix of Ascension, British Indian Ocean Territory, and Cocos Islands. Most of this appears to be mint OG and has an owner’s catalog value of $1400.00. The final part is Tuvalu mounted on Scott pages and said by the owner to catalog $197.00.
