COVERS — Canada
1849Canada (1) canceled in Kingston on December 23, 1851 which was mailed to Toronto where a receiving cancel was affixed upon arrival. This cover is folded vertically down it middle as well as the stamp has a small piece missing on its top when originally applied. A nice original Canadian postal history example.Cat. Value: S.B. 200.00
Price Realized: $90.00
1850Canada (2) canceled in July 1852 (weak day cancel) in Hamilton. It was mailed to Brantford where it received a cancel on its reverse in July 1852 (also a weak day cancel). This cover is a faded on its edges and has tears to its back flap. Still a neat early example of Canadian postal history.Cat. Value: S.B. 400.00
