491O*A Specialist’s Delight. Assemblage of a few thousand early twentieth-century stamps from assorted Russian areas. Carefully arranged in a large stock book and on stock pages. Generally F-VF. We noticed variously overprinted items from Russia for use in Armenia, Armenian commemoratives, overprinted Armenian stamps, examples of commemoratives from Azerbaijan, overprinted Azerbaijan issues, early Ukraine stock, and stamps with city-specific overprints. Filled with many out-of-the-ordinary items such as Polish Occupation Issues of Ukraine. Frequent duplication. Some of the material is identified. There are also sections of reprints, forgeries, and unissued stamps. The entire lot requires an expert’s eye for full evaluation and appreciation.Cat. Value: S.B. 500.00
