296O*Extensive Czeslaw Slania topical collection/accumulation. Put together over the last forty years as a member and officer of the Slania appreciation group headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The main collection is in twelve matching Lindner binders on blank Lindner pages. Sweden is the most extensive group along with other Scandinavia, Monaco, Poland and others. Cigarette smoke damage in places with some toning noted. Dozens of Slania signed items, stamps, covers, and pamphlets. Four heavy cartons of duplicates, ancillary materials, and covers all having something to do with "the Great Engraver". Also includes a carton of literature and the former collector's notes and a few years of the Czeslaw Slania Newsletter (1980s), and an eight frame walk through exhibit showing "Slania Through the Decades" using examples of his engraved stamps. An autographed matted photo rounds out the lot. Needs a long look to formulate an educated bid.Cat. Value: S.B. 1500.00

300O*Odd topical collection. Life Magazine May 3, 1954 had a philatelic theme and its cover was plastered with "World's Rarest Stamps". This collection dissects the cover into its 118 individual stamp pieces. The owner then produced an inventory, numbered the stamps and collected them one by one in his inventory order in a stockbook. Starts at the top left and proceeds row by row to the bottom right. All seem to be included. Mixed mint and used, mixed condition. Comes with a matted and framed, but faded copy of the magazine which has been on display from 1995. Shipped only without the frame and glass. Office pick up recommended.Cat. Value: S.B. 550.00

301*Souvenir UPU 1924 booklet containing roughly 160 mint Sweden stamps from 1855 to around 1920. Spot checking the stamps appear mint NH. The first stamps are “reissues” while the remaining appear to be original stamps. Also no 1924 UPU stamps which probably were not included. This booklet was a gift to the President of Mexico which contains the letter in French regarding the stamps. An unusual historical item.Cat. Value: S.B. 500.00

302O*Small pizza size box filled with reference material. Fakes, forgeries, altered genuine stamps, reprints, imitations and the like from all over the world. Mostly old school. Many are easily recognized. A few however are dangerous and come with bad certs with warnings. Lots of bad overprint work on suspect and obviously dubious stamp like entities. Includes three stockbooks of which what appears to be complete 1949 British Omnibus, rest of the world in another, and the third has extras that might fit into the sets.
