Both received the Brise-Glace Malyguin (Icebreaker Maligin) cancel on July 27 and were mailed to Dowagiac, Michigan. The postal card has severe stains and two small tears on its right edge.Cat. 1714CVRough condition Zeppelin flight cover from the first Swiss flight of 1929. Canceled with a ship cancel (26.9.29), #C27, C30, and 337 pay the 50pf rate. Two Swiss backstamps (27.9.29) and (28.9.29) prove the delivery. Folded in the center, soiled, and a paper clip mark are all flaws.Cat. Value: S.B. 60.00

1715CVCrew member Albert Lehmann, a steward on the LZ127 Graf Zeppelin, prepared this card cached "on board 20.Sep.1928. The card is postmarked Offenburg (20.9.28), the town in in which Albert Lehmann was born addressed to himself back in Friedrichshafen where he was based. Because the card was dropped from the Graf Zeppelin unfranked, there is a 15 pfennig postage "Due" marking in blue crayon plus a boxed red cachet "Nachgebühr," or "Postage Due," on top of the card. Flawed by a paper clip indentation. Lehmann made many such souvenirs from his group of "Zeppelin-Spende" cards. This one is a great example.Cat. Value: S.B. 150.00
