COLLECTIONS, ACCUMULATIONS, AND STOCKS — Western Europe
LotConditionDescriptionValue/Bidding
180O*Liechtenstein sets and singles in around 800 102 size cards in two small boxes. Mainly mint sets after #300 and mixed mint and used before. Massive duplication in places often where it need not be. Not much back of the book. Starts at #4 and goes up into the #1030s. By no means complete. Lacking in power. Enough Lithuania in the back of the second box to drop it into this category. This aggregation is meticulously cataloged with an included tape. You be the judge.Cat. Value: Owner's Catalog 4300.00
Price Realized: $475.00
181O*Western Europe Better values and sets from San Marino, Spain and Switzerland. All 19th to early 20th century. Other than hinge remnants, fairly clean. Good for mail sales or eBay.Cat. Value: S.B. 600.00
Price Realized: $425.00
182O*Western Europe dealer accumulation of almost entirely used Germany and France, in a couple thousand 102 sized cards. Mixed condition with innumerable duplication. Includes rough shape France classics, typical German States with better Bavaria, German Empire and such to 1940. Almost all is pre 1950. Huge aggregate catalog. Will take plenty of sorting, culling and cataloging to bring this hoard to market. The possibility of finds is there for motivation, and it only fills two plastic tubs in one carton. Fun!Cat. Value: S.B. 550.00
Price Realized: $1,000.00
183O*Faroe Islands and Austria selection in two binders. Comprises hundreds of mixed mint and used stamps in partial, full sets, singles, and souvenir sheets on homemade pages. Faroes is mint from 1975 to 2004 from and Austria is mixed mint and used from 1850 to 1935 with BOB. Both are elementary but still useful for filling empty holes in these respective countries.Cat. Value: S.B. 500.00
Price Realized: $475.00
184O*Western Europe accumulation/collection in two heavy cartons. A couple of remaindered Third Reich collection are joined by 23 stockbooks and two shirt boxes of mainly Germany. Very little empire. The higher catalog souvenir sheets and airmails are not here, but there is some power in the early postwar commemoratives of Germany, Berlin, and DDR. Austria, Switzerland, and Vatican are about 15% of the volume. Needs a new owner to pour through these to make the necessary rediscoveries.Cat. Value: S.B. 475.00
Price Realized: $375.00
185O*Western Europe albums/assortment in two cartons. Comprises hundreds and hundreds of mint and used stamps in full, partial sets, and singles. Involves three Scott Specialty albums for Italy from 1951 to 1978, Netherlands from 1960 to 1978, and Channel Islands to the late 1980s all sparsely populated. Also includes Luxembourg Davo hingeless from 1960 to 1984, two Safe hingeless albums for France from 1960 to 1978 and a binder of Greece arranged on blank pages in black mounts. A thought-provoking lot.Cat. Value: S.B. 425.00
