COLLECTIONS, ACCUMULATIONS, AND STOCKS — Luxembourg
LotConditionDescriptionValue/Bidding
443O*CVAll the Luxembourg from a large mainly US cover collector's estate. Begins with an outstanding Scott Specialty collection to 1992. Highlights here include: numerous classics 1852-1890 in better than average used condition. The rest of it is mint in mainly complete sets to the end. Highlights: mint # 60-93, 272-279, 318-320, 329-331, B1-B65, B65A-B65Q, C1-C20, and better than usual BOB. Huge catalog, mixed condition. All the mint checked out to be (og) with little if any NH present. Over 90% complete for the pages. Also includes a box of relatively recent purchases and duplicates. This box includes mint # 125a, 125b, 151, and many other useful items. Plus two boxes of area covers and postal cards (around 500 total) and a small group of small town cancel covers from around the country. Perfect for continuation and study, this advanced collection should interest many bidders.Cat. Value: S.B. 2200.00
Price Realized: $4,250.00
444O*Luxembourg mainly used collection 1852-2002 in an overused Scott Specialty album. The binder is a defective new three ring heavy duty type which sadly has had the ring sprung so the former owner badly repunched the pages to "fit". The collection of mainly used stamps is wonderful with oodles of goodies: outstanding coverage of the classics (mixed condition), mint (dg) Princess Elizabeth sheet, Intellectual set, and strong BOB are just a few highlights. Over 95% complete for the pages with only 1974-1975 and 2000-2002 weak areas. Great advanced used stamp collection suitable for display or ready to be reorganized into an appropriate album.Cat. Price Realized: $1,150.00
