LotConditionDescriptionValue/Bidding
111O*An incredible mostly used old time collection assembled between the 1920’s to 1950’s. Stored away by the family in a very stable environment this powerful mainly 19th century commemoratives, regular issues, officials, and revenues is being presented as mounted over 60 plus years ago with almost all notated by the date of purchase the seller, the purchase price and catalog value at around the late 1950’s. Numerous scarce items that were extracted were submitted to the Philatelic Foundation and are being offered in the singles section of this sale. The more comprehensive group of used are #’s 9X1e, 1, 12-15, 17, 18 with PFC, many 1857-1861 1¢ issues, 27, 29, 30A, 32-33, 37-38, 67, 68B, 70-72, 75-76, 78 x2, 79, 85C, 90-92, 95-100, 118-119, 121-122, few grilled Banknotes, 151-155, 166, 191, 218, 292, 523, O12, O39, R3b, R4a, R6c, R11b, R21c, R36a, R41a pr., R43a, R47b, R57b, R58b, R62b, R63a, R65a, R65b, R71a, R73c, R74c, R79c, R81a, R82a, R85a, R86a, R88a, R90a, R90c, R91a, R92a, R94a, R95a, R98a, R98c, R100c,Cat. 112O*A marvelous very clean mostly used 1849-2000 front and back of the book collection in three Scott Specialty albums. The 19th century is healthy minus the real scarce issues. The 20th century is well populated with the Washington-Franklin coils a little on the light side. Airmails and Back of the Book could use a little more work. The useful used #’s are 1 x2, 2, 10, 12, 14 x2, 15-16, 17, 17 horz. pair, 22-23, 28 (faulty), 29, 30A, 31, 37-38, 67-72, 75-76, 85, 85B, 86, 89, 90 x2, 91, 96-101, 112-122, 134-135, 145-155, 182-191, 217-218, 240-245, 276-278, 291-293, 312-313, 330 block of four, 369, 461, 523, 578-579, 576 plate block of six, 630 favor cancelled, C13-C15, E1-E4, J1-J7, J27-J28, K1-K2, K4, K9-K10, K13, K16 with a APS certificate stating it is genuine, K18, O25-O26, O45, O63, O65, O67, O95 PR2 with a PFC stating it is genuine. The measly mint group holds #’s 500, 505, PR5-PR6. The United Nations collection adds little to the value and would make a nice gift. Condition and centering is much better thanCat. Value: S.B. 5500

The group includes singles and plate blocks. Our guess at the catalog to be well over $45,000. Condition is all over the board with many average to fine copies.
