COLLECTIONS, ACCUMULATIONS, AND STOCKS — United States and General Foreign
LotConditionDescriptionValue/Bidding
198*oCVBasement cleanout of an old time collector who is downsizing and realized that he can’t take everything with him to his new living facility. We took all the boxes mainly marked "to be catalogued later” and albums, from which he was building a world collection offered elsewhere, and dropped them into nine heavy cartons with no rhyme nor reason to their organization. Surprises abound for the new owner to rediscover. Tens of thousands of stamps semi sorted in thousands of glassines. A couple of cartons of binders and stock books. Just a few interesting covers. But best of all is a high catalog US collection, his #2, in a nice Scott Platinum album 1847-1968 with a better than intermediate holding. Hundreds perhaps 600 internet lots possible with right breakdown.Cat. Value: S.B. 1200
Price Realized: $3,000.00
199*oCVTail end of a large estate in three large cartons. Multiple parts each of which was almost strong enough to be single lots in the sale. Highlights include: ten volume White Ace collection of plate blocks where the majority of the spaces are filled 1945-2012. High face value that needs to be counted; A trio of problem filled US better singles; a small box of a couple hundred better than dollar covers; small group of better catalog value Switzerland used; a stock book and envelopes of new issues from: Australia, GB, Marshall Is, St. Pierre, France, Pitcairn Is, Niuafo’ou, New Zealand, Canada, etc.; and a small group of subscription items. Plenty of value which will take some concerted effort to bring to market correctly.Cat. Value: S.B. 1150
Price Realized: $1,800.00
200CVFDCMixed US and foreign in 16 large heavy cartons (600 pounds shipping). Includes covers, US and general foreign, around 3,000 in all mainly dollar table fare, along with several cartons of US used in huge duplication from the mission mix soakers era, around $400 in low face value US postage that may or may not have tagging varieties spread throughout the boxes, a few cheap foreign collections and boxes of loose glassines, and all the left over stuff that could not have been put into other lots from this large consignment. A lengthy reclamation project along with possibilities of ultraviolet discoveries await the next owner.Cat. Value: S.B. 1200
Price Realized: $3,500.00
201*o Huge estate lot of collections and backstock in over 60 binders, country collections, and boxes of sorted duplicates in glassines filling 12 large cartons. Better than usual with tens of thousands of different worldwide stamps. Huge catalog. Best areas are France and Colonies, Canada, and Eastern Europe. Many intermediate values spice this one up and make it useful to any worldwide collector. This part appears to never have been searched which would make an interesting club lot for a general collector’s club. Thousands and thousands of nickel stamps with an occasional surprise.Cat. Value: S.B. 700
Price Realized: $3,250.00
202*oCVFantastic accumulation as received from an estate in four cartons. Consists of hundreds and hundreds of mint and used stamps in albums, small boxes, glassines, and envelopes. Includes US postage from the 1960s to 1990s, worldwide new issues mainly from the 1980s to 1990s having a strong presence of British Royalty still in their original glassines, and mainly Swiss covers as this was the country the owner fancied. A really neat lot.Cat. Value: S.B. 750
Price Realized: $1,150.00
203*oConsignment offered as received. Most of the value lays in postage which includes sheets, plate blocks, scrap, etc., with an owner’s count of $1290.00+. The rest of the material is on and off paper and six near empty albums the best being a 1947 International Stamp Album that is in really nice condition. Great group for someone that likes to play with stamps.Cat. Value: S.B. 500

204*oA likable accumulation with uncounted postage from the US, UN and Canada, decent starter collections of Denmark and New Zealand, two starter collections of US plus more.Cat. Value: S.B. 500
Price Realized: $375.00
205*oCollection as received. The US part is in a Scotts National Album to 1982 where the bulk of the value is in the postage. The foreign part is in five Scott Internationals with pages to the late 1960s. These are pretty sparse. A lot has been remove from both of these portions. There is value, however in the two small included boxes where: US C10a, Bahamas used #4, Belgium used #12 x6, a couple mint blocks of four of better Korea, and a handful of mint Andorra imperf sets, reside. Inspection could disclose even more hidden morsels.Cat. Value: S.B. 500
Price Realized: $800.00
206*oCVMismatched leftovers in three cartons from a large consignment put together to make a "hopefully interesting" lot. First is a bunch of new issue remainders from Liechtenstein and Switzerland. These are mainly mint modern sets in blocks some of which are CTO while others are NH. Several hundred glassines. Of most value is the over $550 face US in booklets and sheets from the same era. Along for the ride are a few subscription items, FDCs, and anything else that was left over. Will make someone a nice lot to breakdown.Cat. Value: S.B. 400
Price Realized: $650.00
207*oOld five volume Scott international collection to 1957 that has been in storage for the last twenty years. Mixed mint and used. Fairly well filled in volume I, becomes sparse in volumes III and IV. Several thousand stamps in all. Old PM mounts were used in the US section ruining these pages. Even has a few surprises: DDR Mao set, Japan 422 and 479 plus US C1 among the mainly packet stamps. Good for the general collector.Cat. Value: S.B. 425
Price Realized: $550.00
208*oConsignment as received from a stamp and first day cover saver from the 1960’s to 1990’s. All the usual suspects including US and UN postage and 1’st days, off paper mixtures, Indonesia, British, etc. Pockets of helpful value plus the postage adds up but needs more of an inspection than our cursory look to come up with the right number.Cat. Value: S.B. 400
Price Realized: $350.00

Price Realized: $300.00
213*oConsignment as received from the heirs of a stamp and cover saver. The few dozen covers mounted in an old photo album have the most potential but it’s going to take some TLC to salvage them as they are to varied degrees stuck down.
