Originally the 25pf stamp was folded over the tag, but long ago was rebacked to preserve the stamp. Only the company stamp on the reverse: Droste & Walte, Tientsin China. No backstamp. Some sort of political message on the reverse. This rare cover is in poor condition foxed at the top, torn at the bottom with wrinkles, but a lot of character. 284CVGermany rare FDC for #B51, B52, B55a, and B56 on registered cover Lorch to Aiud in Romania. Bold Lorch 1.11.33 cancel, the first day of issue for the stamps. Pays the 71pf rate for an International Registered Letter. Cachet and bold red seal indicate its Hermann Sieger origin and is sporting the bright blue Sieger dated backstamps of November 1, 1933. Lightly soiled from its trip, with rounded corners and back flap stains. European sized, proper backstamps with few visible faults. An extraordinary cover.Cat. Value: S. B. 150.00
