COLLECTIONS, ACCUMULATIONS, STOCKS — Germany and Area
LotConditionDescriptionValue/Bidding
622*oGermany and area 13 heavy cartons (over 400 pounds shipping) with bulk, bulk and more bulk from a large estate. Includes remaindered auction lots, stockbooks, almost empty collections, rejects, mistakes, etc. Well over 75 pieces none of which was a viable auction lot. From this mass, around 50 % tare, fifty $100.00 retail lots for the internet are possible. Way too much DDR and empty pages. An intrepid recycler with an outlet for low value sets and singles is a necessary rescuer for this Herculean task.Cat. Value: S. B. 1,500.00
Price Realized: $2,100.00
623*oGermany and area one man’s collection of the stamps in ten albums. The well taken care of stamps are mainly NH if he could afford them. All neatly housed in a mixture of pages mostly White Ace and computer generated inside expensive black mounts cut to size. Starts in 1972 with mainly used eagles and shields and ends with the semipostals of 2014. Not much DDR, the Soviet Zone was where he drew the line. Strength in the many complete sets throughout. Solid Berlin with mint sets of all three bells, however missing almost all the rarities and anything of higher catalog value. Thousands of mint NH stamps. Very few duplicates. Plus an occasional surprise that will add to everyone’s viewing pleasure.Cat. Value: S. B. 1,300.00
Price Realized: $900.00
624*oGermany and areas collection in ten clean Lighthouse hingeless albums 1849-1984. Most of the stamps up to 1970 are used. Sparse, spotty coverage around 20% or less complete for the pages. The only two stamps of note are Germany B58 and 9NB3a. Includes an Empire volume and 3 volumes of DDR ending in 1984 which have the most stamps. Easy to fill the albums to make advanced collections possible. Two heavy cartons almost 100 pounds shipping.Cat. Value: S. B. 1,200.00
Price Realized: $1,050.00
625*oGermany and areas accumulation in four stockbooks and four stockcards. One is mostly used from shields to past inflation period. One fat one is all used from the mid 1990s to 2003. One is primarily NH from the early 1950s to the mid 1960s. One is the areas with Barvaria, offices, colonies, etc. Lastly the cards are a variety of better items.Cat. Value: S. B. 850.00
Price Realized: $600.00
626*oGermany and areas pile of remaindered old auction lots, broken stockbooks, five way too full stockbooks, etc. from around 1910-1980. Plenty of intermediate value remains in the unharvested sets. Strongest in the Third Reich area and immediate postwar especially semipostals. Enough Saar and occupations issues to raise the substantial catalog value. A good bargain is here for the taking if everything gets figured. Small enough to take your time with.Cat. Value: S. B. 800.00
Price Realized: $750.00
627*oGermany and area folder collection lot with two redeeming items. Besides small remainder collections of Bavaria, Danzig Saar, and General Government, includes Germany #B58 (mint, trimmed, stained and folded) and Saar #B15 with back faults. Great better than spacefiller copies for the non discriminating collector.Cat. Value: S. B. 600.00
Price Realized: $350.00
628*oGermany and area counterbooks. From the backstock of a retire dealer, these ten counterbooks have emerged. Carefully salted with a goody or two in each binder so that each has value. Must be tempered with the knowledge that most of the 400+ pages contain common packet material in duplication. Enough fun searching out the nuggets and calculating their value to make viewing profitable.Cat. Value: S. B. 325.00
Price Realized: $230.00
629*oGermany and area collection in eight binders on computer generated pages. A few hundred stamps in total. Two volumes are German states oddly organized 1849-1872 with no pages for the 1872-1920 period. The stamps are of average quality with a few fakes here and there to be rooted out. The six volume Germany 1872-1945 section although pretty on the pages has very few higher value stamps some of which have no pages printed. Strongest in eagles and shields and Third Reich issues. Pretty pages that can be added to easily. Inspection necessary.Cat. Value: S. B. 325.00
