LotConditionDescriptionValue/Bidding
547*oAustria astounding collection and accumulation put together long ago by an elderly Austrian philatelist from the Midwest. Amazingly complete in its breadth across three Lighthouse repurposed albums each with overlapping contents. Mixed mint and used classic section often parallel in opposing albums. Also integral to this lot are two stockbooks and a folder collection each of which could be individual lots in this sale. Offered altogether to court the serious collector and connoisseur of great material. The mint ,when spot checked, were around half NH. Premium sets and singles abound. Includes strong specialized classics in excellent to average condition, outstanding semipostals with duplication throughout the keys, one set of Renner sheets, specialized cancel studies, private overprints, specialized overprint studies, and more. Strongest through 1955 missing at first glance only the WIPA sheet. Solidly complete over 98% complete for Scott numbers. Very disorganized and a little disheveled. Huge catalog value with scores of items in the $100.00-$750.00 range. Could easily be reworked into a paramount collection needing at least two new albums to hold all the goodies.
