41CVJune 3, 1934 First Fight cacheted cover from New Orleans to Chicago. Pilot was forced to land in a swamp after engine conked out. Men had to trudge through the swamp carrying the mail where a Coast Guard Cutter rescued them. Mail was somewhat water soaked but intact. A few pieces of the recovered mail are known.Cat.
