COLLECTIONS, ACCUMULATIONS & STOCKS — Czechoslovakia
LotConditionDescriptionValue/Bidding
320*oCzechoslovakia a nearly all mint, nearly complete mounted collection to 1963 in a Scott Specialty album put together and tucked away many years ago. Starts with extensive Hradcany’s featuring 45a x3, 47a, 47e pair plus private perfs, roulettes and shades. Then proceeds nicely with occasional special items like tete beche pairs, gutters and show souvenirs like Music sheets. The semipostals hold many elusive items such as B4, B21, B37-B39, B54, B55-B57, B58-B63, B71-B72, B103 and B115-B123 (all of these are signed at least once). The airmails are highlighted by a specialized selection of C1-C9’s including an inverted overprint. The rest of the back of the book is likable along with complete Bohemia and Moravia plus Slovakia. One of the nicest collections from this dead county we have ever offered and would be hard to duplicate today.Cat. Value: S.B. 2,200.00
Price Realized: $5,000.00
321*oCVCzechoslovakia assemblage of thousands accumulated long ago by a knowledgeable collector. Consists of at least two album collections (Minkus and Lighthouse hingeless to 1970). Mint is the focus. Neither is full for each would need extensive reworking to provide space for all his accumulated varieties. The owner was a specialist and it shows with old auction lots mainly of specialty items and the stamps missing from the albums residing throughout the large carton. Best of all is complete set of mint “music sheets” #200a-201a, complete with clean original folders. Will take some work and an appropriate album to evolve this haphazard mass into a viable, displayable advanced collection.Cat. Value: S.B. 1,250.00
Price Realized: $2,900.00
322*oCzechoslovakia double barreled collection 1918-2002. The first part is a more complete than usually found (90%) Scott Specialty collection in four new type 3 ring albums mostly used and CTO to the early 1990s where it turns mint. Secondly in a large box containing eight miniature springback albums with a run of first day presentation sheets organized by issue date 1949-1972. This collection is missing most of its power but makes up for it in total number of stamps. Viewing is imperative.Cat. Value: S.B. 800.00
Price Realized: $550.00
323*oCzechoslovakia collection 1919-1992 in four Lighthouse “Heavy Duty” binders on printed 3 ring pages. Mixed mint used and CTO. A couple thousand stamps with over 80% coverage. Lots of mint after 1952 with complete sets, souvenir sheets and mini sheets the focus. Not much power, but lots of intermediate value. High aggregate catalog. Well organized with lots of value.Cat. Value: S.B. 550.00
Price Realized: $450.00
324*oCzechoslovakia music sheets in their original folders. #200 is souvenir cancelled while 201 is mint. Various small faults inclusions, corner bumps and minor soiling. Easy way to get the cornerstones of an advanced Czechoslovakia collection.Cat. Value: 2016 cat 1,300.00
Price Realized: $375.00
