The aforementioned are mixed condition, uncacheted and addressed. Also includes lots of 2¢ Reds, a set of Perf Parks with matching Linprint cachet, Famous American, Presidentials, and middle ground airmails. 87CVAlaska postal history collection. Nearly 600 covers each with an Alaskan town cancel. All are pre statehood. Minor duplication. Many 1955-1957 done by an old Navy man who became interested in the territory during WWII. It was his goal to secure a postmark from every town and hamlet that had a postal cancellation device. He wrote to the postmasters who would then send him a readable cancellation, often a Doane type, on cover back to him. Often they would autograph and include information about their village. Also included are over 50 WWII censored covers APOs etc. along with a couple back to 1902. Thorough research along with great quality of the strikes makes this the best group of Alaskan postmarks and pre statehood covers we have ever offered.
