215*oCVThe bulk of one person’s collection in eight cartons. Highlights include two beginner Minuteman US collections. At face value it is easy to mistake these as advanced collections until one notices ALL the better stamps are pictures cut from auction catalogs. Also contains two shoeboxes of mint postal stationery (face $320.73), several shoeboxes of mixed US and foreign stamps, two full large cartons packed with covers mainly day to day correspondence, A few albums and binders of old time US and foreign, and two neat Bausch and Lomb lighted magnifiers. Along for the ride are two bankers boxes of sorted US in Scott order housed in child’s church offering envelopes. Must be spread out and sorted to see the value.Cat. Value: S.B. 425.00
Price Realized: $475.00
216*oTwo cartons of worldwide where the US provides most of the value. First is over $550.00 face in usable PNC pairs, strips of three, strips of five and larger, along with uncounted face bulk rate, non-profit, etc. Some used to be premium strips with high catalog values that need rediscovery. Second is a small stockbook with a couple hundred “US locals” most of which, although interesting, are reprints, forgeries, and album weeds. And lastly a carton of leftovers which includes a dog topical group and a pitiful US holding. Lots of fun to play with a lot like this.Cat. Value: S.B. 425.00
Price Realized: $750.00
217*oAccumulation in four large heavy cartons. Begins with a mundane three volume Citation collection with thousands of stamps. Heavy. Sparse in parts, loaded in others. Mostly packet stamps with limited surprises. Also includes two cartons of US stuff. Many USPS items with the heavy packing included. Some unusable face bulk rate and the like along with postal stationery, etc. Huge original cost.Cat. Value: S.B. 350.00
Price Realized: $400.00
218*oCVAnother dealer backroom clean out lot of remaindered country collections and covers. Thirteen collections in all that fill two of the four heavy cartons. Some better than beginner offerings in these. The covers are a different story with addressed noncacheted US FDCs predominate. Worth a long look with just enough time on the second carton of covers to find the equally ugly subscription items. The expert recycler will likely find almost 20 internet saleable lots in a group like this. S.B. 300.00Price Realized: $450.00
219*oAccumulation/collection consisting of three USPS commemorative year sets complete from 1971 to 1990 mostly in their original folders, plus US airmail plate block collection on Minkus pages including C7, 17, 19, 20, 23, 46 and CE1. Also entails two Germany two-post KaBe albums having mint and used stamps from 1961-1974 and 1991-94 plus several singles including DDR #82-84 mint, OG, and Baden mint 5N41a as well as dubious. First rate candidate for the right marketer.Cat. Value: S.B. 250.00
Price Realized: $350.00
220*oCVAll the leftovers from a large consignment of mostly remainders. The US part is almost all USPS subscription items including postal card sets (cartoon characters), “special FDCs”, pins, pens and more, with the best part being a few wounded ducks, and some used blocks of Prexies, postage dues, and Farley’s. The foreign part is just about as interesting with a couple hundred “104” size salescards with Ghana and Egypt having the most items along with a couple rejected single lots (forgeries, too many multiples, poor conditions, etc). Should be a fun lot if you need this kind of stuff.Cat. Value: S.B. 250.00
Price Realized: $250.00
221*oCVFour cartons of stuff. Albums, stockbooks, envelopes, and folders containing FDCs, covers, singles, and other interesting items just waiting to be discovered. Could be a money maker if you can break it down into collectable lots.Cat. Value: S.B. 150.00
Price Realized: $650.00
