365*oJapan awe inspiring collection/accumulation 1871-2000 in two 3 ring binders on black stockpages. Includes some dubious better earlies, a section of generally used classics, a few mixed mint and used sets with minor duplication. The mint are highlighted by #198-201, 212 pair, 213 pair, 259a complete booklet, 276-279, 358a, 422a small corner fault, 479, 480-497, all the way to #2697. Also includes a great bunch of mint souvenir sheets including many park sheets with folders, a fine selection of complete booklets, a handful of modern post office mint sets and a cool #C1 on a 1919 Tokyo flight card. Huge aggregate catalog with quite a few NH. Better than average condition even in the early material. Look closely as the owner collected the “odd” stuff not often found in collections like this. Discoveries all over the place. Perfect way to get in on the ground floor on an advanced Japan collection needing only an appropriate hingeless album and a few of the more elusive items. Great fun to examine.Cat. Value: S. B, 2,200.00
Price Realized: $1,900.00
366*oCVJapan buildup of accumulated and hoarded remainders of six overlapping albums removed from a recently closed Ohio store. Most of the power remains from which an advanced collection will emerge. Strong airmails with almost all the high values intact. Duplication in the parks era. Also includes a heavy amount of face in modern sheetlets and souvenir sheets found in the second of two cartons. Check with a careful eye as this lot contains more value than it should with an advanced collection and plenty of better duplicates to trade or sell.Cat. Value: S.B. 1,600.00
Price Realized: $5,000.00
367*oJapan and Ryukyu everyday stock from a recently closed Ohio stamp store from the 1880s to the 2000 weighing around 40 pounds. Visualize hundreds and hundreds of mint and used stamps in 16 counterbooks in singles, a few sets, souvenir sheets and an occasional super surprise having massive duplication. Comprises 14 Japan and 2 Ryukyu. Bring a trusty calculator along to count the face. Significant quantity of the books are bulging, so vigilant searching necessary.Cat. Value: S.B. 1,000.00
Price Realized: $3,000.00
