COLLECTIONS, ACCUMULATIONS & STOCKS — General Foreign
LotConditionDescriptionValue/Bidding
500*oOne man’s awesome lifetime collection in 47 contiguous Scott International albums classically organized chronologically. Heavy fifteen cartons, around 500 pounds shipping weight. Probably easily over 100,000 stamps mounted in these albums 1840-2006. The focus is on mint stamps although mixed mint and used until 1977. Plenty of power with stamps cataloging $200.00+ mounted near, next to or under the usually seen packet stamps. Amazingly strong in the 1840-1955 classic period housed in eight fully packed leaky albums. Stamps are mounted all over the pages including the margins, the edges, and even on top of others. Surprises abound with many NH in unexpected places. The fattest albums are in the 1949-1976 era with many bulging to capacity. Plenty of complete sets 1977-2006. All of the albums are fully used with crowded pages in all albums to around 1990 where mounting long sets began to become a chore. Also includes are at least three duplicate albums and pages not figured in the count. One of the most complete attempts at a whole world collection done by someone with maximum philatelic knowledge that we have seen in a long time. Deserves to be picked up and taken care of by some like minded philatelic veteran.Cat. Value: S.B. 10,000.00
