950*oCVChina Shanghai and Treaty Ports original collection put together 1927-1931. Splendid in scope and sequence from the hand lettered title page through 40 pages chock full of information, stamps, and a couple covers. Condition is a factor with stamps chosen to fill a need not always the prettiest one. In general F-VF. Begins with two pages of Shanghai Candareens (34 different), then on to 1866 through the provisional, the 1880 types, the surcharges of the 1890s, and finally a full complement of coats of arms issues. Specialist items abound with all types of variety. The treaty ports are in full regalia as Hankow, Amoy, Chinkiang, Kiukiang, Chefoo with three covers, Foochow, Ichang, Nanking, Chungking, Wuhu, Formosa, and Weihaiwei are all fully but not completely represented. Unbelievable variety all hand written up on classic size springback quadrille paper often with the date of write up included. Has never been remaindered or offered to the stamp collecting public until now. Outstanding and seldom seen wCat. Value: S.B. 4,250.00
