800*oAn impressive one man’s lifetime 1847/1998 mint and used 19th and 20 century collection. Housed in a ten volume White Ace binders, the owner meticulously placed both front and back of the books areas with the unusual habit of mounting common issues upside down in the spots of the more expensive varieties. This assembly holds a good run of used 1851-1861 issues, nice grouping of Banknotes including 90¢ values, early used Bureaus, including dollar values, well-populated Washington Franklins with questionable coils. Heavy back of the Book including Airmails, Postage Dues, Officials highlighted with Executives, Navy, and State Departments. Very little Washington Franklins, and B.O.B. 804*o1857/2006 mostly mint commemorative, regular issue collection in four Minkus, two All American albums and lose. Not many stamps to be found prior to the Columbians, a little light in the Washington-Franklin era but finally picks up speed starting with the 1922-1926 Bureau issues, a small pocket of better booklet panes, and respectable basic BOB. Better items are numbers 230-239, 241, 294-299, 319g (NH) 323-327, 551-573, 579-579, 581-591, 630, 658-679, 830-834, 1030-1053, C1-C6, C10a, C13 (vlh, with a gum bend), C14 (vlh, and short perf), C15 (o.g. steamed), and JQ1-JQ5 (2¢ & 5¢ are NH). The value is highly concentrated in the above mention items. In addition there is also a huge amount of postage (face over $3900.00) which includes high values, some imperf Looney Tunes, and a Legends Error sheet. Lightly populated and mostly used in the early issues, then starts turning mint. Well balanced airmails and B.O.B. and a decent run of Federal Ducks with two of each in the early issues. Worthwhile mint are 291 x2, 294-299 (two sets), 323-330, 630, C1-C6, C13, C18 x4, and RW1-RW2. Used are 1, 36, 78, 119 x2, 240, and 311. Meaningful mint are numbers 189 (OG), 230-240, 294-299, 323-327, 404, 524, 571-573, 630, C1-C6 (what we examined was no gum), C13 (OG, slightly disturbed), C14 (OG, disturbed), C15 (OG, slightly disturbed, hr), plus C18 single and block of four.
