928*CVA valuable and attractive Christopher Columbus exhibition topical collection. This 112 page marvelous assembly from a knowledgeable Ohio collector was meticulously put together to create a spectacular historical prospective of the adventures of the Spanish explorer. The group is brimming with United States 1893 Columbian issues of all different values and orientations, Worldwide proofs, trial color proofs, imperfs and imperfs betweens, hard to come by postal history with a few worldwide unissued values. United States mint single items worth mentioning are 118 with PFC, 119, 129 with PFC 129a with PFC, 240-242, 243 with PFC, 244-245, imprint strips of four of numbers 230-232, 234, 237, imprint strips of three of 233, a plate block of eight of 236. All of the fore mentioned multiples are either separating in various degrees or reinforced with hinge remnants. Set up as a competitive exhibit with an extensive story profusely illustrated with stamps and covers from many different countries. Lots of desirable stamps including mint US 399-400, 404, Canal Zone 4-8, etc. A treasure trove of imperfs, proofs, inverted surcharges and the like from around the world illustrating the factual content of the story.
