1311*oHuge old time stamp collection in 13 bulging Scott International albums. Each is in major disrepair destined to soon fall apart from use. Tens of thousands of stamps included up to around 1972. The perpetrator was packet seller, soaker of mixtures, and all around knowledgeable collector/hoarder who added stamps to these albums to show off to others and sell from. Lots of value in the innumerable stamps. Mixed condition mint and used with just few sparse places throughout the albums. Strength in unexpected places where he developed an interest. Europe, Asia, and British Area are the stouter runs. Years of remounting or hundreds of folder collections is the answer for this one as the albums have long ago served their purpose.Cat. Value: S.B. 2,000.00
Price Realized: $2,800.00

1321*oCVOne box of peril from the backstock of a prolific stamper. Lots of fakes, forgeries, reprints and ink jet printer productions in with a bunch of oddball foreign. Paraguay printer’s waste and imperfs, a few hundred German cigarette cards, Third Reich never produced private fantasies, color changelings, old expo label reprints, Russian propaganda print reprints, Foreign soldier labels mostly (France and Swiss) reprints, fake overprints, and a “signed” 1815 Martin Van Buren Attorney General document. Lots of dubious and outright fakes that need to be taken with a grain of salt when viewing this fascinating “as is” lot.Cat. Value: S.B. 1,250.00

1329*oCVBulkiness of a large estate in 14 large heavy cartons. The former owner was a soaker of kiloware and hoarder of their remains. Much of the stuff was abandoned for years at a time. Condition is quite variable with two cartons of old semi sorted country stockbooks, a country folder collection or two, shoeboxes of old on and off paper mixtures (over half the lot), dirty/dusty remainder groups, and a carton of old but common correspondence covers that add little to the value, are the highlights.
