LotConditionDescriptionValue/Bidding
1273*oEurope mostly mint collection in a 1956 Scott Central Europe album. The previous owner subscribed to a new issue service 1938-1953 and hinged them into this album as they were received never bothering to add pages for later years. Premium items abound in complete for the year of issue mint sets. Begins with a modest Hungary collection 1932-1964. Includes #871-884 and C24-C34. The power begins in the mint Italy section highlighted by #45-51, 67, 90, 115-118, 166-170, 248-256, 268-279, 331-341, 345-354, 359-376, 377-386, plus all the elusive mint issues from 1949-1954, C1-C99 (appears complete with C27 and C48-C49), D1-D14, Q7-Q19, Q37-Q60, QY1-QY4, QY8, QY10, and many others. Rounding out the album are strong sections of Trieste Zone A and B, San Marino with #272-277, 278-293, 308-319, C11-C16, C63-C71, C82-C91, Q16-Q34, and E19-E21, and last of all a remarkable Vatican collection with #C16-C19, and C20-C23. 1281**oEurope strange combination of 1960s and 1970s Germany and 1875 Denmark. The Federal Republic and Berlin are apparently mostly complete mint NH in two usable Lighthouse albums, while the Denmark is many hundreds of Sc. 26 and 28 in an absolutely horrendous decrepit homemade old album purportedly identifying flyspeck plate flaws. These don’t belong in the same box, but we had little choice.Cat. Value: S.B. 200.00
