768*A beautiful primarily modern mint ten volume collection in Scott Specialty albums with slip cases. Almost entirely void of stamps until the mid 1930s with the exception of the lower priced commems, airmails and BOB. The heaviest concentration of value lies in sheets, singles, plate blocks, booklets, booklet panes and PNCs from the early 1980s to 2006. High value face is in the singles and plates. The mint sheets are mostly 29˘ to 34˘ values. The premium numbers in the group are 3138 x2, 3207 x3, 3307 x3, 3392 x2 and 3535 x3. A tremendous amount of face dutifully tabulated. The older items adds only a few dollars to the mix. A very clean lot and time saver since most of the contemporary material has already been acquired. Highlights include mixed mint and used Columbians through $1.00, used Trans Mississippi through 50 cents, and a used White Plains sheet canceled 10/18/1926 at the exhibition. There are many more intermediate values present with strength 1920-2007. Eight albums house the main collection with the pre 1945 in two hingeless Safe albums while the later are in six US Platinum hingeless albums to 2007. Lots of face value in these. Also includes a parallel used only collection in an All American album to the early 1980s. Finally, a box of Canal Zone with an owner’s catalog of over $2,000.00, stockbooks and boxes of duplicates, and a folder of mint US sheets with a face value of over $200.00. 795*oA six volume 1851-1976 mint and used collection in hingeless Schaubek and Scott albums, most with slipcases from the Rocky Mountain State. Includes a scattering of 19th century with Banknotes, 1869 series, dollar value Triangle Bureau issues. Early commemorative go up to the 50˘ values. Most of the Washington Franklins are used and there is a small batch of airmails, B.O.B., revenues, and Possessions. Meaningful OG mint are 214, 217, 291, 308 (NH block of 8), 312 (regummed) 461, 630 (damaged), C18, and K1-K18. Useful used are 9, 15, 112-117, 119 x2, 120-122, 155, 218, 479-480, 523-24, and 547. You will also find plate blocks of 294, 611, 622, and a block of four of C18. Other interesting items spotted are plate proofs of 7, 205, 211 and last but not least there are specimens of 309 and 313.
