777*oA 20 volume 1847 to 2010 mint and used collection on homemade pages. Almost entirely used up to the 2¢ Reds. Then turns mint and used. The depth and breathe of the postage 1950s is astounding. At this point you will find at least a plate block of all of the regular issues and commemorative up until the plate strip format. Sheets of the 20 subject size would replace the plate blocks or strips and when possible a used copy the issue exists. Also within this huge holding there are coils, booklet panes, and booklets. Included as well are high values in plate block or sheet form. The Scott number range is a used #1 all the way to a sheet of 20 of #4444, used C1 to a sheet of C147. There is a scattering of the BOB amounting to little consequence. Worthwhile used are #1 with a pen cancel, 15, 71, 89, 96-97, 118, 152-153, 240, 291. Meaningful mint are #’s 461, 1053 plate block, 3095b, 3138, 3205, 3307, 3292, 3535, C10a booklet pane, C18. There is a conservative catalog value where appropriate of $5000+ and a soft faCat. Along with the huge face value of the modern issues are many individual mint singles that the owner went out of his way to obtain in exemplary condition. Very lightly populated before the Columbians but what few stamps are there are of significant catalog value. After the Columbians there are exciting sections of early commemoratives, Bureaus, Washington Franklins, postage types, airmails, Special Deliveries, and Parcels Post issues. Noteworthy items include 39, 120-121, 210-217, 219, 220-229, 230-240, 276, 276A, 285-291, 294-299, 300-31, 323-330, 331-342, 369, 397-404, 414-423, 424-439, 459 single, 461, 463/466, 468-476, 480, 500 (regummed), 504-518, 523 (oxidized, part OG), 524, 547 (regummed), 551-573, 579-579, 581-591, 630, 803-834, 1030-153, C1-C6, C13-C15 (C15 regummed), C18, E1-E7, and Q1-Q12. This assembly is well annotated yet is flawed in some cases concerning reverse, ie., regumming and has very little items until the 1893 Columbians. Also contains the early airmails and just a hint of B.O.B. and Confederate States. Better mint are #’s 230-244, 245 (regummed, with APS cert.) 285/291, 397-400A, 524, 547 (no gum), 551-573, 658-679, 803-834, 1030-1053, C1-C6, C13-C15, C18. Used are #’s 1 (pen cancel), 292. In the better mint you will find 242, 630, 669-679, 1891 plate number strip of five plt. #6 (fingerprint on reverse), O11, no gum, PR2 x2, PR3, PR5 x2 (all no gum). Nice group of cut squares, some with full corners like U67, U69-U71, U73, U105, U207, U211, U342-U345, a few middle value K’s, and some early Guam. Useful used are 9X1, 1 x2, 2 (almost all there), 12, 15, 17, 30A, 37-38, 69-72, 75-78, 89-91, 97-98, 100, 112-120, 138, 145-155, 182-191, 215-218, 241.
