970oCVGermany used 1948 Builing issue (#634-661a) a lifetime specialized study of everything related. Could be the most comprehensive study group of this issue ever to be assembled. Tens of thousands of stamps. Huge aggregate catalog value. A wealth of information impeccably organized into understandable segments. Goes beyond the basic Scott numbers into perforation and margin differences, types according to other catalogs, various plates used for printing some with complete reconstructions, step differences on the high values, first day uses, markings on covers, Michel fly specs, a calendar of used on dates for 1-9-48 through 3-31-1953, and an enormous number of stamps that have not been checked. Good news is he purchased some better material often hiding amongst the common. 977*oCVGermany two volume collection of “The Hindenburg Medallion Stamps” on homemade pages. Includes mint singles and as many used as the collector could find on cover. Zusammendrucke issues are featured in pairs, strips and panes. Michel notations are often used with W, S, and K numbers shown. Just a few exploded booklets and medium sized multiples to make an interesting display. Missing only the best values to qualify as exhibit quality. 985*oCVGermany intact collection lovingly put together in four Lighthouse albums and custom organized on blank pages. Bulk of the value is in Germany proper beginning with a representative bunch of eagles and shields, used NGC #26 pen cancel, B8-B11, B55, B59-B67, C27-C34, and C35-C37. The best parts are the many postwar used sets and singles, many in better than usual condition, such as 665-666, 667-668, 669, B310-B313, B32-B323, B325-B326, B334-B337, B338-B341, etc. The intermittent cover is included to add to the viewing pleasure. Enough Berlin of the period to be a factor with Bell sets and singles also noted. A couple of stockbooks and a DDR collection only add to the value. 987oCVGermany accumulation of zeppelin stamps, covers and ephemera going into the 1930s. Around a half dozen German covers with Sieger numbers and prices from the owner. Highlights include a 1938 flight to Sudetenland with hand painted reverse, a C39 on cover, Palestine to Turkey, etc. Condition varies so closer inspection needed.
