COLLECTIONS AND ACCUMULATIONS BY COUNTRY — Poland (General Government)
LotConditionDescriptionValue/Bidding
1260*oCVPoland (General Government) award winning exhibit and collection. The collection could stand alone with a great percentage of mint issues along with printer’s waste imperforate pairs included. By far the best part is the complete six frame (Vermeil award) winning exhibit. The author uses over 110 carefully selected covers to tell the story of “German Occupied Poland: 1939-1944”. Highlights of the exhibit include mail to the US via Siberia, high value money letters, forced labor mail, mail to a famous undercover address, mail from a Gestapo spy and an Auschwitz cover. A pleasure to view with disturbing historical accuracy. With a little work could become a gold medal winner.Cat. Value: S.B. 1,700.00
