LotConditionDescriptionValue/Bidding
1116*oGreat Britain highly complete, mostly used collection to 2006 in a Specialty album. Highlights are numerous including 1, 5-7, 52-55, 57, 57a, 70-71, 73, 74, 90, 93 (spacefiller), 108-110, 123-124, 139-142, 173-176 and 209. Additionally, a couple Mulreadys are hiding in the rear of the album. Only few dues and no officials or offices abroad but, otherwise, virtually complete. Condition varies but is generally better than usually seen for these. A rare opportunity. Inspection invited.Cat. Value: S.B. 4,000.00
Price Realized: $7,500.00
1117*oGreat Britain accumulation in three Lighthouse albums 1952-1978 mostly mint. Also a shoe box with hundreds of black stockcards loaded with mint/used sets singles (duplication noted) and two boxes of loose “stuff”. Offered reasonably.Cat. Value: S.B. 1,150.00
Price Realized: $800.00
1118oGreat Britain group identified on nine stockcards with better early stamps 1841-1892. High catalog value including 96 x 3 and a 109. A worthwhile lot to view.Cat. Value: S.B. 1,100.00
Price Realized: $650.00
1119*oGreat Britain small but powerful lot consisting of a couple stocks on counterbook pages, a slim stockbook and a small envelope. Immense catalog value with most items of note pre-QEII. As such, condition ranges wildly as usual and there is a fair amount of duplication, but many F-VF sound stamps and good value in 20th century mint sets and singles. An exciting lot for the Anglophile who should give this lot serious study.Cat. Value: S.B. 1,100.00
Price Realized: $1,200.00
1120*oGreat Britain back of the book companion collection to the regular issues collection elsewhere in this sale hinged on Scott pages. The front of the album contains British Offices abroad with much of use (Offices in Morocco 1-8 mint, for example) and the back has fairly complete regional issues. In the middle, however, are some seldom seen Officials that deserve a serious look. We note (mint) O6-O7 and (used) O18, O23, O43 and O44-O45 among others. Condition varies on some of the Officials but most of the rest is F-VF. Hard to find stamps that are worth a look just to say you have seen them.Cat. Value: S.B. 800.00
Price Realized: $1,250.00
1121***Great Britain clean collection in two 3 ring Scott Specialty albums. After the used four-margin # 1 and 2, contains fairly solid sections of mint or NH 20th century QEII issues. This would give a new GB collector a running start.Cat. Value: S.B. 700.00
Price Realized: $700.00
1122*oGreat Britain a small batch of 19th century mostly used. Variety of issues in typical condition. High overall catalog value. Mostly desirable because they were basically saved for the attractive cancels.Cat. Value: S.B. 550.00
Price Realized: $650.00
1123*oGreat Britain collection neatly hinged in a Scott album with slipcase. Begins with a four margin Penny Black and is scattered until QEII when coverage becomes more solid and mint (often in mounts and probably NH) becomes prevalent. Some higher catalog items distributed throughout with condition better than usually seen on these. Great for continuation.Cat. Value: S.B. 550.00
Price Realized: $550.00
1124*oGreat Britain and Regionals accumulation of collection remnants in two cartons. Purchased by a lover of British stamps, some have been picked rather clean, others have significant value remaining. Take a look and decide what value it has for you.Cat. Value: S.B. 550.00
Price Realized: $1,250.00
1125*oGreat Britain stock with duplication housed in “102” size cards with used earlies such as #1penny Black x 3 through modern mint sets. Overall catalog is huge but condition is a factor. For those that specialize in Great Britain or looking to plate the earlies should take time to review.Cat. Value: S.B. 425.00
Price Realized: $375.00
