COLLECTIONS AND ACCUMULATIONS — British
LotConditionDescriptionValue/Bidding
1048**(CD312) NH blocks, Coronation complete including the different designs, F-VF.Cat. Value: $687.20
Price Realized: $140.00
1049**A gorgeous collection of several hundred different in mounts on quadrille pages. Looks to be essentially complete from 1952-1957 with most if not all complete sets (should be all NH). Sometimes the sets are arranged on a couple pages plus there is a scattering of Stanley Gibbons listed items. The down side is that the mounts are attached to the pages with scotch tape which is beginning to discolor the middle of gum side on some but still the faces of the stamps are bright, fresh, F-VF or better appearing so remounting is a must.Cat. Value: S.B. 4,000.00
Price Realized: $2,700.00
1050*Accumulation from the Empire in six albums, auction remainders and a pizza box loaded with glassines. Spotted better New Zealand, Australia and British Africa. You will find good value all the way through. It is from a good time period.Cat. Value: S.B. 2,200.00
Price Realized: $2,000.00
1051*A few thousand different neatly arranged and identified on black stockpages and filling eight Lighthouse binders with slipcases. Mostly Kings through QEII with emphasis on KGVI and early QEII. Looks to be all complete sets with much NH and F-VF or better throughout.Cat. Value: S.B. 2,200.00
Price Realized: $2,500.00
1052*An old investment holding of several thousand arranged in aging glassines. Mainly complete sets with much NH of primarily 1950’s to early 1960’s issues. Duplication, which sometimes is a bit high. Australia, New Zealand and Ireland are the most numerous but many other colonies are of value. Great for someone who does lists.Cat. Value: S.B. 2,100.00
Price Realized: $2,200.00
1053*oAround 90 different higher cataloging 19th century issues. All different from a wide variety of colonies. Generally Fine or better appearing but some faults are sure to be present and the catalog is the owner’s which surely needs some discounting for unintentional counting of fiscal cancels, fakes or misidentification. Still much useful value.Cat. Value: 2008 cat. 46,000.00
Price Realized: $4,250.00
1054*oCollection in three specialty albums with several hundred stamps going into the 1960’s. Many mint NH sets throughout. Good Falkland Islands, Bahamas, Fiji, British Honduras and more to search for. Worth a good look.Cat. Value: cat. 8,900.00
Price Realized: $1,900.00
1055*oCollection in two Scott albums, generally running from the 1860’s to the 1980’s. Includes India and states, Australia and New Zealand. Strong material throughout like the one pound Roo in Australia. Lots of value.Cat. Value: S.B. 1,300.00
Price Realized: $1,000.00
1056*oGenerally better A-Z stock on salespages filling three medium counterbooks. Ranges from used classic singles to NH modern sets, including various souvenir sheets, booklets, etc. You will find many useful items as you carefully go through this.Cat. Value: S.B. 1,250.00
Price Realized: $800.00
1057*oGroup of hundreds of rather random QV and beyond singles and sets arranged on stockpages and stockcards. Includes many better stamps across the bulk of the former Commonwealth with only scattered duplication. Well worth the time to browse through.Cat. Value: S.B. 1,250.00
Price Realized: $2,900.00
1058*oA-B collection, about half Bahamas and Bermuda with half being from ten other countries. Mounted on Scott International pages to 1968 and beyond, early pages often have extras, with fiscal cancels taken into account in our “SB”, while later ones have lots of NH sets and added souvenir sheets.Cat. Value: S.B. 1,200.00
Price Realized: $1,450.00
1059*oC-N collection, about a quarter each Ceylon and Cyprus, and the rest from 11 other countries. Value: S.B. 1,150.00
Price Realized: $1,600.00
1060*oCollection in 18 Scott specialty albums. Better areas are Great Britain, Ireland, Australia, British Caribbean, British Asia and Canada. Some of the binders have few stamps and four are empty. However, spotted many strong pockets with runs of mint sets. Overall an impressive lot for this popular area. Take a look.Cat. Value: S.B. 1,150.00
Price Realized: $1,450.00
1061*oI-U collection, nearly 20% each Ireland and South Africa and the rest from 12 other countries. Also a Grenada collection on Minkus pages and a stockbook of Canada is included. Overall the Australia, New Zealand, Sub Asia and Oceania are more valuable.Cat. Value: S.B. 750.00
Price Realized: $550.00
