COLLECTIONS AND ACCUMULATIONS — Eastern Europe
LotConditionDescriptionValue/Bidding
1496*oEastern Europe grouping in four dealers counterbooks, virtually all are better items. Includes Russia, Baltics (with proofs and essays), Czechoslovakia (including B21 OG, signed twice), Hungary, Romania, Yugoslavia and more. Oddly, a UN #38 sheet and a couple other strays are here as well. A clean lot of an increasingly popular area.Cat. Value: S.B. 850.00
Price Realized: $1,100.00
1497*oEastern Europe overlapping collection of thousands in seven Scott specialty binders ranging from the classics until the mid-1960s. Poland is the best with value in souvenir sheets such as 314a-316a and C26Cd. Other countries, from which you can extract good value, include Romania, Hungary, Yugoslavia, and more. If you like this area, this is likely to be a bargain at our suggested bid.Cat. Value: S.B. 750.00
Price Realized: $650.00
1498*oEastern Europe collection of maybe a couple thousand on a two inch high pile of Schaubek pages to 1942. Somewhat scattered but contains several good pockets of desirable stamps. Overwhelmingly mint, the Baltic States are strong, Russia has a number of early sets which include (all mint OG) 298-301, 342-344, and B1-B4, good Yugoslavia, etc. Great lot for continuing, breaking down into country lots, or extracting for a retail stock.Cat. Value: S.B. 700.00
Price Realized: $1,300.00
1499*oEastern Europe accumulation semi-organized in a shoe box and mostly disorganized in a small carton. The bulk of the value is in mostly NH Poland sets from the 1940s forward. These are identified and arranged on approval cards and in glassines in the shoebox. The small carton is a mass of mostly NH sets in glassines from Poland, Russia, Romania, etc. with each identified and appearing of lesser value but with some nuggets to be plucked. The value will add up as you put these into your collection or stock.Cat. Value: S.B. 700.00
Price Realized: $650.00
1500*Eastern European collection with a few thousand stamps, mostly sets which should be all NH. Stronger countries include Romania, Poland, Estonia, Czechoslovakia and Hungary. A very attractive lot, viewing recommended.Cat. Value: $3,425.00
Price Realized: $550.00
