Consist of one of two cacheted covers cancelled on May 20,1939 and sent by the First Trans-Atlantic first flight and first to encircle the world by regular airmail service. It was address to Paul V McNutt, High Commissioner of the Philippines who added Filipino stamps. He redirected and registered the cover and sent it back to the addressee in Indianapolis while receiving several transit cancellations until arrival on June 20. The other similar cover was given to President Roosevelt for his collection. Enclosed is documentation of two covers and letters sent to FDR White House initially giving him the first flight cover as a birthday gift and reply thanking the sender for the cover.
