Inside the front cover are two pages of actual signatures from many of the medaling athletes. Includes: Jesse Owens, Cornelius Johnson, Jack Medica, Ken Carpenter, Helen Stephens, and over 25 others from all over the world. Coach liked to tell the story that Hitler had had these made up just for the German signatures, but every athlete "just walked up and signed the records to be included in the book".
