791*oAn 1847/2000 mint and used collection from a collector that started in the 1940s housed in three beautiful Scott Hingeless albums with slip cases. This assembly holds commemoratives, regular issues, airmails, Special Deliveries, Postage Dues, and Parcel Posts. A nice sprinkling of 1851-1857s, Banknotes, early commems., predominately used Washington Franklins, and loads of postage types with a few better like a Legends error sheet, Imperf Bugs etc. Mentionable mint are numbers 30A, 71, 217, 285-290, 294-299, 323-330, 397-403, 630 (margin faults), C1-C6, (C5-C6 are NH), C13 (vlh), C14 (disturbed OG., few hrs.), C15 (regummed over thin), and E3. Usable used are numbers 1, 7, 14-15, 17, 36, 67, 72 (spacefiller), 119-121, 153, 166, 218, and 240. Condition varies quite a bit however we did spot a sparkler every once and a while. 793*oTwo separate collections grouped together for a reason. The first is a Minuteman album of 19th and 20th century front of the book mostly used up to the 1920s. The second is a small assembly of 1926-1964 mint. When joined you will find the used section containing numbers 15, 78, 96, 98, 119, 155, 166, 191, 229, 240, 291, and 523. The notable mint are numbers 658-679, 834, and 1053. Duplication is very light. Condition is very mixed in the early issues so careful viewing is recommended. Lastly there is a small stack of slightly larger items such as booklets and souvenir sheets. Condition varies widely, especially in the counterbooks, including no gum and regummed issues. Looking closer we spotted nice 19th and 20th century low value used regulars and commemoratives, some in sets, 1920s to 1930s regular and commemoratives, a mint set of Washington Bicentennials in blocks, Farleys, early mint airmails, BOB, and revenues. Usable used are numbers 70-72, 119, 121, 155, 218, 276, 278, 523-524, and 547. The few yet powerful mint items worth mentioning are numbers 630, and C13-C15. Separated into regular issues, commemoratives, airmails and back of the book the assembly is almost entirely used up until the 1920s with little modern items. Nice selection of 1847 to 1857 issues, Banknotes, early commems up to the middle values, a few airmails and scattered B.O.B. Also includes some postal cards in pretty rough shape and an under appreciated revenue section holding low value reds and greens, tax paids, state issues, etc. Better used items are numbers 1-2, 29, 30A, 67, 70-72, 98, 99 (SE), 100, 112-121, 138, 155, 166, 191, 217-218, 310-312. Each is packed with plastic pages holding anything and everything pertaining to US stamps. Enormous face is about half the value, while intermediate mint, used, fancy canceled, and precanceled parts add to the total. Take care for many of the covers are reproductions serving purpose only to their former owner. Take a long look for the current organization often masks better material (i.e. mint Columbians to 50 cents are obscured by their modern reissues). 805*oA six volume almost entirely mint commemorative and plate block collection neatly arranged in Scott Hingeless albums. The commemoratives start with the Columbian issues and stretch to 2006 while the plate block section running from 1909 up to 2006. Within the singles group are numbers 239, 285/290, 294, 299, 323-327, 397-403, C18 and many very much appreciated lower values around and either side of the above mentioned. The few but better used includes numbers 240, and 291. The plate block assembly holds numbers 370, 548-549, 614-615, 617-619, many in the 1926-1930 era, and C10. This very clean grouping is also comprised of the time consuming postage type that add up to a favorable amount of face value. The edges of the pages are a bit stained but it does not affect the interior contents. Better items worth mentioning are numbers 548-550, 615, 617-618, 620-621, 740-749, 803-834, 859-893, C7-C12, C20-C22, and C25-C31. There is a lone block with plate number of C18. The rest of the assembly is time saving postage types that need to be counted. Condition is mixed with some of the better being NH.
