701FDC(235) 6˘ Columbian first day of issue franked on a U348 tied with a Milwaukee Wis. 3rd St. Sta. Jan. 2 killer cancel. Cover has numerous hinge marks and a couple hinge remnants on the reverse along with some pencil marks. Pencil erased notations on the front. Stamp is fine centered, overall the cover is F-VF. Generally sleeved, identified, and in Scott and then Mellone order, includes around 28,000 cachets, with common ones, better ones like Crosby, Staehle, Czubay, Chambers, VonOhlen, Bronesky, Nix, and many others, plus some as yet unidentified. Various duplication throughout, and some drawers need reorganizing into the master sequence. A clean and very useful stock with strength in the 1940s to 1960s that has never been on the market.Cat.
