Interesting topics such as schools, hotels, farm equipment, insurance, lawyers, food, hardware plus many others found. Some are still attached to auction pages. 915CVMainly Civil War patriotic covers in extraordinary condition. Over 75 usages plus a small bunch of unused and reprints. One man’s extensive holding of individual auction lots many still on the pages. Huge acquisition cost as the condition and cachet are in the “best seen” category. A sheer pleasure to view.Cat. 916CVA couple thousand organized FDC from #618 through #2419. The earlies are mainly uncacheted, but when cachets begin they are not just run of the mill. Noticed many Cachet Kraft/ Ken Boll and other not so common cachets. Famous Americans, 1939 Baseball, 1939 New York Fair, are all present in multiples. Saw two sets of Prexies, apparently complete through the $5.00 Coolidge. All are sleeved, but unpriced. A great, clean, and colorful group ready to jump into your stock or collection.Cat. Value: S.B. 1,000.00
Price Realized: $1,150.00
917CVRemains of a one time dollar cover booth in 15 large cartons. Would realistically retail as quarter, half dollar and dollar table ware. Needs to be sorted to remove the obvious junk from the other salable. FDC, postal history and early 1870’s on up are all included. Estimated conservatively at over 13,000 marketable pieces. With a small amount of work could become a good bourse stock.Cat. Value: S.B. 1,000.00
Price Realized: $600.00
918CVOriginal holding of around 500 stampless folded letters, many still in their dealer sleeves. Appears strongest in Indiana, with many also from surrounding states and elsewhere. Many show postal markings in addition to the circular town mark, or in place of it like the Detroit, Michigan territory, letter we noticed. These have never been organized or categorized, and even though condition varies, any number of interesting finds is possible.Cat. Value: S.B. 1,000.00
Price Realized: $2,600.00
919FDCHuge accumulation of around 6,000 FDC in 12 “drawer” boxes and one carton. Very clean and original with many sleeved and priced. Most are unaddressed and cacheted. Common, as usual cachets with an occasional better one. An attempt was made to sort them by date but was given up on before completion. Mainly the 5˘ through the 29˘ stamp years. Along for the ride are around 2,000 UN FDC, and US non FDC, along with several boxes of mint postal stationery. A perfect lot to work into your existing stock.Cat. Value: S.B. 600.00
