732FDCMounted collection of 138 first day covers between 551 and 703, along with BOB from this period. Many better definitive issues are present with DC cancels, along with commemoratives to a lesser degree including #583a, and 658-679. However, many have been slightly reduced or carefully opened at left. Includes a few printed cachets, a few early usages, a handful of better duplicates and an occasional fault. A fresh and valuable grouping of these covers.Cat. Value: S.B. 2,400.00

734CVSpecialized accumulation of over five hundred covers with a focus on the 1851 and 1857 three cent values. Great hunting for cancels, plate flaws etc. It seems as if the previous owner has already started the process with several “finds” annotated. Great lot for the specialist or would be exhibitor.Cat. Value: S.B. 1,000.00
Price Realized: $1,050.00
735CVAlaska postmarks on around 400 mounted commercial and philatelic covers, PPCs, and postal cards. Organized roughly in chronological order from the late 1800’s to the early 2000’s, most are annotated with substantial historical information, DPO status, population, etc. We noted a Howcan manuscript, and HCs from Dolomi, Kemperville, Udakta, and Washburn, among the more unusual locales. Also includes 1930’s and 1940’s cachets, corner cards, ship cancels, etc. A particularly nice example of this popular specialty.Cat. Value: S.B. 1,000.00
Price Realized: $850.00
736CVCollection of maybe 1,600-1,700 naval covers from the 1930’s to the 1970’s. Generally with cachets for major or minor events, they are often identified in glassines by hull number or type of ship. While there are many covers from some ships, there appears to be little duplication, which would be confirmed by interfiling these three shoeboxes of covers as you begin to enhance your stock or collection.Cat. Value: S.B. 900.00
Price Realized: $650.00
737CVCovers and cards from various turn of the century fairs and events. Stored in four small Lighthouse albums. The collection has items from the Columbian Exhibition, St. Louis World’s Fair, Pan American Exposition, Jamestown Exposition and others. Over 220 items in all. Many official souvenir cards, and covers using the stamps. Could be the beginnings of a mixed card/cover exhibit or fit right into a postal history dealer’s stock.Cat. Value: S.B. 800.00
Price Realized: $800.00
738CVFile box of around 300 sleeved, priced and often annotated 20th century covers of all types. Space is the most common category, with patriotics, town cancels, Constitution and navals, cacheted events and first days, etc. throughout. With an almost $15.00 average retail, and with very few duplicates or foreign, these covers will easily slip behind dividers in your stock. Retail 4,380.00.Cat. Value: S.B. 700.00
Price Realized: $475.00
739CVRegistered covers from 1880 through about 1920 in a small Lighthouse binder. This group of over sixty covers seems to be put together to show usages of different stamps to pay the registration fee. Noticed F1, E7, Q6 and Columbians all used in this way. This is a good start toward a specialized study in this complex area.Cat. Value: S.B. 650.00
Price Realized: $700.00

Good showing of Parks, Farleys, Prexies and others of that era. Condition is a little mixed in the earlies while the later are very clean. Worthwhile assembly.Cat. Value: S.B. 650.00
