COLLECTIONS AND ACCUMULATIONS — United States and General Foreign
LotConditionDescriptionValue/Bidding
779*oOld time dealer closet cleaning lot of US and worldwide. The foreign is centered in two blue International albums, a stockbook of British, small modern Boy Scout related covers and Kiloware. The much more valuable US holds a sloppy collection on pages loaded with catalog value like 7 and 9 used , 189 and 214 mint , a digestable mixture of mint and used early commems and pleasing assortment of Washington Franklins. The second collection is an American Stamp Album which you will find a 90¢ used Banknote, mixed Trans-Miss up to the 50¢, mint 294-299, 328-330, 834, 1053 along with a group of mixed postage dues and used officials. Probing the two cartons you will find a bit of older postage that fills in the cracks. It is advised to proceed with care, this was a last minute arrival.Cat. Value: S.B. 1,500.00
Price Realized: $2,200.00
780*oHuge hoard of many thousands of US and worldwide revenues plus many thousands of US and worldwide cinderellas filling three cartons. We noted strength in revenues from Latin America and Europe, and labels for expositions, stamp shows, air shows, political propaganda, other causes, etc. Being housed almost every way possible, with stacks of unrelated items together and stuffed plastic bags we didn’t open, there is tremendous variety such that you could probably spend all day viewing and still not uncover all of the neat items.Cat. Value: S.B. 1,250.00
Price Realized: $3,500.00
781*oA consignment remainder filling five large cartons. It’s all the stuff that seem to accumulate with just about every life long active collector. There are approval books, stamps sorted in glassines, stamps on salespages, stockbooks, collection remainder, etc. Hours of sorting time awaits the lucky bidder.Cat. Value: S.B. 900.00
Price Realized: $1,600.00
782*oConsignment balance carton of weird stuff that didn’t fit with any of the consignor’s other lots. Includes a file box of loose worldwide revenues, a flat box of Lundy Island and Rattlesnake Island locals, some souvenir albums, and some reference books. Taking a look will be both fun and worthwhile.Cat. Value: S.B. 850.00
Price Realized: $1,150.00
783*oAn eight volume Scott International collection with several thousand stamps to the 1970’s. The US is the best section but many other countries are deceivingly valuable as stamps are “shingled up” as much as five deep. A more difficult collection of this type to figure than normal.Cat. Value: S.B. 750.00
Price Realized: $1,300.00
784*oThree really mismatched albums with many thousand stamps. Includes a well-used Scott International Junior usefully populated, and we noted the US through airmails has only ten spaces without a stamp. Also includes an S-Z Scott International to the 1960’s, and a Minkus Global with random countries to the 1970’s. A difficult lot to figure.Cat. Value: S.B. 750.00
Price Realized: $850.00
785*oWorldwide accumulation in four attractively presented stockbooks. Spotted good foreign classics throughout with US sprinkled in. The material is very fresh looking. Plan to take some time with this one.Cat. Value: S.B. 750.00
Price Realized: $1,500.00
786*oConsignment balance in six cartons. Contains starter collections, remainder collections, folder lots, stamps on salespages, etc.Cat. Value: S.B. 750.00
Price Realized: $1,350.00
787*oConsignment balance consisting of some very nice collections and parts of collections. Among the more interesting is the four volume Train topicals, Western Europe souvenir sheets, FSAT and the contempory Germany. Most everything is clean with much NH. If you figure the expensive albums the value will far exceed the suggested bid.Cat. Value: S.B. 700.00
Price Realized: $1,250.00
788*oConsignment remainder filling eleven cartons. Poland and US are the most dominate with many other countries throughout. There’s barely touched Globals and Scott Internationals, stamps in stockbooks and in envelopes you can’t see into, US postage and FDC’s, etc.Cat. Value: S.B. 700.00
Price Realized: $1,800.00
