1568CVTwo Crash Covers from January 10, 1930 by Western Air Express, Corp (CAM-4). The Boeing 95 Mail plane (NC420E) was lost in bad weather near Cedar City, Utah. Weather was the major factor in a large number of early commercial aviation accidents as in the crash of Air Mail Pilot Maurice (Maury) Graham, who left Los Angeles on January 10, 1930 for Salt Lake City. The mail was found months later six miles from the crash site with the body of the pilot who decided to walk out from the remote crash site with the mail. One is autographed after the fact by famous pilot Earl Ovington in two places.Cat. Value: S.B. 200.00
