1564CV(85B) Three "Z grill" Blackjacks and one three cent 1861 pay the heavy letter rate to Topeka, Kansas from St. Louis, Missouri. Contained a letter documenting the results of a Bankruptcy case. Filed November 12, 1868. Stamps roughed up a bit and now flat on the bottom, but still a good example of a triple rate cover, let alone that the stamps alone catalog $3,300.00.Cat. Value: S.B. 300.00

1569CVPioneer flight cover from 1912. Rare example ("only four known"), ("less than ten pieces known to exist today") of the Marietta Daily Journal Aviation Meet cancel on flown card. May 16, 1912. On that day Lincoln Beachey, the postmaster and pilot of a Curtiss biplane, transported a sack of mail from the Marietta County Fairgrounds to the town's post office, depicted on the front side of the card, a trip of about 4 miles. This postmark listed in the American Air Mail Catalog as "number 23 pioneer flight cancel" is rare and desirable. Lightly soiled, but clean, readable strike of this scarce souvenir.Cat. 1571CVGraf Zeppelin Flight official cachet cover autographed by Commanders J. Richardson and C. E. Rosendahl official observers for the American government on the Graf Zeppelin. This cover was intended to make the complete trip around the world. It was cancelled in New York on August 6, 1929, Los Angeles on August 26, and Lakewood N. J. on August 29. It does not bear the usual Lakehurst cancel which indicates that it was dropped at Los Angeles. An exhibit or collection worthy postal history cover.
