6$United States Indian Cent collection on a 1938 Whitman 11” X 14” coin board. Collection runs from 1857 to 1909 only missing the 1866, 1869, and 1909-S cents. The 1877 is a filler coin in about good condition, some damage and its reverse is almost smooth with the one cent gone. The 1908-S is in very good condition. Coins average in about good to very good condition. Closer examination needed to check for any environmental damage on the coin obverses but especially their reverses for condition. 7$United States Liberty and Buffalo Nickels collections on a two 1938 Whitman 11” X 14” coin boards. The Liberty Nickles run from 1883 to 1912 only missing the 1884, 1885, 1886, and 1912-S. Condition averages from about good to very fine. The Buffaloes run 1913 to 1938 only missing the 1913-S Type II, 1915-D and 1937-D 3 Legs. The collection averages good to extra fine condition but needs scrutiny on the early dates because of weak striking from the mint on certain dates or mintmarks. He partook twice in raising the Flag atop Mount Suribachi on the Island of Iwo Jima. It was during this second flag raising when photographer, Joe Rosenthal, captured with his camera one of the most iconic images in American military history.
