	1646		Confederate States two covers. Involves one sent from Orange Court House, Virginia to Macon, Georgia and the other sent from an undetermined town and state to Raleigh, NC. Both covers have soiling, stains, and old mount marks on their reverses.	Cat. Value: S.B. $50.00 Price Realized: $60.00
	1647		Confederate States stampless North Carolina with blue “Paid 5” (Kaufmann catalog Raleigh C) cancelled on June 11, in Raleigh. Cover was mailed to Wilmington.	Cat. Value: S.B. $50.00 Price Realized: $48.00
	1648		(1, 5) cent green pair tied with a blue NORFOLK / VA, FEB 1, 1862 on cover to Mrs. E. T. Thomas, Augusta, Georgia. A note at the lower left indicates “opened by mistake E. T.”. Both the left stamp and the cover itself are damaged. The original soldier (Lt. Western Berkley Thomas Jr. of Company K, the Davis Musketeers, 10th Georgia) mailed it from “Pigs Point” along the Nansemond River in the winter of 1862. The transcript of which (done by Kaufman) along with ancillary Civil War information is included with the cover. Also includes a CSA #2 (pen canceled and damaged) on a South Carolina cover.
