590CVAround the World oversized cacheted first flight cover for the German Airship LZ-127. Canceled in Los Angeles on August 26, 1929 and mailed and canceled in Lakehurst, New Jersey on August 29. Cover was posted with 12 ½ cent Nathan Hale, four 14 cents American Indian, and seven cents Harding stamps. Cover has a 1” tear to its left side which does not distract from its overall historical value.Cat. Value: S.B. 50

This cover traveled the longest distance for the FAM 6 extension, having departed Saginaw, Michigan on September 17, 1929 to Paramaribo, Dutch Guiana and then by boat to St. Laurent, French Guiana.
