725CVColombia (C13) Seaplane over the Magdalena River. Affixed to a December 1921, newspaper and postal stationery wrapper (Higgins and Gage #E1). All tied together with an undated SCADTA Servecio postal Aereo circle cancel. The wrapper is cancelled with an oblong Despacho purple cancel dated: March 7, 1922 (Giradot). Addressed to the famous geologist Dr. Fritz Behr-Heyder stationed in Barranquilla, Colombia. While doing commissioned Geological research was reportedly drowned in the Rio Sucio in 1923. SCADTA had a Colombian Governmental contract to issue stamps and transport mail as long as there were appropriate regular issued stamps on the cover as well.
