COLLECTIONS, ACCUMULATIONS, AND STOCKS — Germany
LotConditionDescriptionValue/Bidding
485*oGermany zusammendrucke album 1910-1941. Includes strips and multiples for Deutsches Reich and the early Nazi era. A few hundred mixed mint and used stamps. Many odd combinations in this 75 page album. Around 60% complete for the pages having a high Michel catalog. Best is the handful of advertising labels connected to the Germania issues found in the first few pages. The Hindenburg group is the most complete missing only a few, while the Hitler issues seem mainly complete. A welcome addition to any Germany collection.Cat. Value: S.B. 2,700.00
Price Realized: $4,000.00
486*oGermany collection 1849-1945 in five homemade albums. Mixed to low end condition in the earlies (states and eagles and shields) with many faults many of which are hidden. Also includes some dangerous outright forgeries, nachdrucke and the like, that are unidentified. The good news is that there are many quality stamps including varieties that are in collectable condition. Includes mint (repaired) 65A, semiofficial airs, extensive inflation in mint and used blocks, zusammendrucke mint and used some in multiples, and plenty of used higher catalog stamps. Has a few airmails, souvenir sheets, and Russian Zone overprints that are not fakes, but this is one that the prudent buyer must examine prior to bidding.Cat. Value: S.B. 1,500.00
Price Realized: $950.00
487*oGermany collection in a clean Scott Specialty album up to 1988. Includes Germany proper along with Berlin and just a tiny bit of Soviet occupations. Mixed mint and used with used early and mint later. Huge catalog, hundreds of different. Lots of complete sets and excellent coverage, over 90% complete for the pages. Strong classic section starting with a presentable group of eagles and shields. Well filled in every section up through the extensive Berlin. Lots of elusive early post war sets many postally used. Missing only the rarities and the expensive souvenir sheets. Easily continuable.Cat. Value: S.B. 1,500.00
Price Realized: $1,000.00
488*oCVGermany small slightly remaindered collection of a couple hundred Germany and Austrian seals, labels, and revenues. All circa 1890. Variable condition, both on and off documents and letters. Noticed railroads, courts, prisons, post offices, and other imperial administrative offices. Fun lot to rediscover.Cat. Value: S.B. 800.00
Price Realized: $200.00
489*oGermany zusammendrucke album 1946-1985. Includes strips and multiples for Bundespost and Berlin. A couple hundred mainly mint stamps. Many odd combinations in this 60 page album. Around 50% complete for the pages having a high Michel catalog. Sure to spruce up an after WWII Germany collection.Cat. Value: S.B. 600.00
Price Realized: $425.00
490*oGermany, everything we could find, from a large estate in four cartons. The collection is in two albums, a Deutschland KaBe for 1872- 1946 and a clean Scott specialty album 1945-1990. The later is seemingly complete with clean CDS cancels on each and every one. All the good post WWII regulars and semipostals are complete. The first album is better than most mixed mint and used. The classic section is best here. The rest filling at least three of the cartons was stuff to be sorted which has limited organization in loose album leaves, stockbooks and folder collections semi sorted by issue date. Thousands and thousands of stamps with many saved for interesting cancelations. No Berlin or DDR. Tremendous catalog value as an aggregation with a better than intermediate collection with good coverage in the two albums. Will take some work to bring it out of its mess.Cat. Value: S.B. 550.00
Price Realized: $1,900.00
491*oGermany zusammendrucke accumulation 1937-1982. Nothing early. Not a full run by any means, but a representative sample of over 150 Michel listed items. Worth a quick look.Cat. Value: S.B. 500.00
Price Realized: $325.00
492*oCVGermany tail end of a small but mighty consignment. Highlights include: mint and used souvenir sheets. Best are 9NB3a NH gum creases, Third Reich mint and used, Norway legion sheets, and a few Soviet Zone. Along with a hundred or so covers a few of which are better than dollar table. Plus a few Olympic 1936 cancels on piece. Compact, but valuable holding.Cat. Value: S.B. 400.00
Price Realized: $550.00
493*oCVGermany collection (from a few Bavaria up to 2011) in seven binders on black stockpages. Several hundred stamps and a handful of covers included. Organized roughly by year with only an occasional intermediate to pique one’s curiosity. Little if any power, but enough stamps and sets to make our suggested bid reasonable. Needs a new owner to reorganize this into a standard collection.Cat. Value: S.B. 220.00
Price Realized: $220.00
