COLLECTIONS, ACCUMULATIONS, AND STOCKS — Canada and Provinces
LotConditionDescriptionValue/Bidding
447*oCanada and provinces mainly mint remainder collection in a Scott Specialty album and 12 binders of postage in full sheets 1940-1989. The Canada collection has been roughly eliminated rendering the album unusable. The provinces section was not ever touched so most of the value in this lot is the solid and strong Newfoundland collection that remains. The rest is figured by its substantial face value which has dropped substantially in the secondary market over the last several years. Would benefit from a full count made difficult by the staples at the bottom of many pages holding the whole shebang together. Will take some time to figure a bid.Cat. Value: S.B. 950.00
Price Realized: $2,700.00
448*oCanada and provinces accumulation in a stockbook from the 1880s to 1940s. Around 250 mint and used stamps having tolerable duplicates Beneficial to the right person.Cat. Value: Catalog 8,500.00
Price Realized: $350.00
449*Canada and Nova Scotia sheet and multiples group. Begins with three complete panes of 100 Nova Scotia #8, 11, and 12. Then it’s on to Canada with sheets of #166, 184, 258, 259, and 294. Also includes blocks of #226, 227 and 302. Huge aggregate catalog value in hardly ever seen sheets. Compact lot built for the specialist on your list.Cat. Value: S.B. 400.00
Price Realized: $1,350.00
450*oCanadian Provinces collection of a few hundred in mounts on clean Scott Specialty pages. All but British Columbia are well represented with Newfoundland the most valuable. Many times a used stamp is mounted behind a mint sometimes in multiples. Some faults to be expected but much is Fine or better.Cat. Value: S.B. 3,250.00
Price Realized: $2,200.00
451*oCanadian Provinces a high end very clean stock of a few hundred with minimal duplication. The Newfoundland is likeable for the 1857 and 1860 issues along with the many 20th century pictorial sets in the regulars and airmails. The New Brunswick and Nova Scotia contain a good representation of their respective 1st issues. Mostly Fine or better.Cat. Value: S.B. 2,900.00
Price Realized: $2,800.00
