838*oArrowheads and other worked stone points and tools. Heavy with special shipping required so OFFICE PICK UP recommended. These were collected from all over the United States by noted naturalist and traveler Isaiah Buttler from 1867-1881. He was from the Rochester, New York area, but collected these during his extensive post-Civil War journeys. When his son Joshua inherited these he built the display as it sits today. He organized it into nine frames attached it to a wagon displaying it all over the Eastern US as “A Traveling Museum of American Artifacts” circa 1910. Joshua passed away in 1926 and these were stored in his rural Georgia barn where they were rediscovered in 1973 and sold to an antique dealer in Pennsylvania. They were purchased again intact in 1975 where they again became part of the décor of a riding stable. The building was torn down in the 1980s and these were removed from the walls and placed in storage to be again rediscovered and consigned to this auction. They are offered intact fCat.
