COLLECTIONS AND ACCUMULATIONS — Topicals
LotConditionDescriptionValue/Bidding
860*oCV“The Color Yellow” thematic/topical exhibit and collection featuring mostly 19th century material. This exhibit won a silver at an APS show (unfortunately not a gold “yellow”). There appear to be enough attractive and informative pages for six exhibit frames. The collection is in eight yellow binders in country and Scott order, with all varieties differentiated and duplicates accumulated just because they were yellow. Also includes revenues, proofs, stationery, and covers, plus a diverse selection of “almost yellow” (actually shades of orange) that didn’t make the cut. Inexplicably the non Scott yellow material is in a lonely red binder. With a total owner’s catalog value of well over $36,000.00, better items are scattered throughout, with the best being US Scott 127 used and 356 and 364 mint, all with certs. A unique opportunity to continue an original project.Cat. Value: S.B. 6,000.00
Price Realized: $3,750.00
861CVCollections of dozens of topics in over 80 very assorted fat and thin binders in 16 cartons. In rough order, includes ships, planes, space, trains, flights, and WWI and II, plus presidents, good old days, Civil and Revolutionary Wars, Zeppelins, balloons, and other related topics or subtopics. Generally the value is in relevant cacheted covers, but there are also pockets of related stamps hidden amongst the tremendous amount of ephemera assembled around the philatelic material. He did it his way, and now it is your chance to redo it your way.Cat. Value: S.B. 950.00
Price Realized: $1,100.00
