Each one (there are at least six) is more advanced than most people’s single collection. Includes a six volume Scott Specialty, another five volume Scott Specialty, a four volume Lighthouse, two fat Minkus, a four volume homemade collection, numerous stockbooks and sorting boxes plus more all filling five cartons. The collections are one of a kind all mint or all used or both. There is valuable duplication when mashed together. Just to scratch the surface we noticed numerous posthorn sets, zeppelin sets, souvenir sheets, top end semipostals, Berlin overprint sets, huge catalog value in states, impressive plebiscites, a notopfer exhibit, great array of the shield issues, etc. It’s powerful from the states through the 3rd Reich to the Bundesrepublic and encompasses all the areas plus substantial postal history. Also a volume for DDR with little of consequence noted. The best, however, is a volume of the ‘areas’ that consists of German states in better than usual condition, colonies with moderate value Kaiser yachts, plebiscites, occupations and more.
